DEWALT Canada invests in ºìÐÓÊÓƵ trades students and strengthening New Brunswick’s workforce

Moncton, NB – April 8, 2026 – Trades students at New Brunswick Community College (ºìÐÓÊÓƵ) will benefit from expanded financial support, access to modern industry tools, and meaningful experiential learning opportunities thanks to a three-year financial investment from DEWALT Canada.

This transformative partnership between ºìÐÓÊÓƵ and DEWALT reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening skilled trades education and fueling New Brunswick’s future workforce. The gift includes a robust selection of professional-grade DEWALT tools and equipment, and will also support:

  • 20 annual bursaries over the next three years, helping trades students overcome financial barriers and stay focused on completing their education;
  • ºìÐÓÊÓƵ’s High School Trades Orientation Program (HSTOP)powered By DEWALT, increasing early exposure to skilled trades for high school learners across the province; and
  • Program support and shop improvements, ensuring training spaces remain modern, safe, and aligned with industry expectations.

“ºìÐÓÊÓƵ is deeply grateful for DEWALT’s investment in our students and our province,” said Heather Allaby, ºìÐÓÊÓƵ’s Vice President, Engagement and Experience. “This partnership creates opportunities from early awareness in high school to hands-on training in our shops, strengthening the talent pipeline our communities and industries depend on.”

Beyond this gift, DEWALT is also a primary sponsor of ºìÐÓÊÓƵ’s Tiny Home initiative, where carpentry, electrical, and plumbing students collaborate on community-oriented  build projects. The College built its first tiny home in 2025 and is currently completing two additional builds.

“At DEWALT, we believe in building more than just tools – we build opportunity,” says Allan Hawes, General Manager, Stanley Black & Decker Canada. “By supporting ºìÐÓÊÓƵ’s skilled trades program, we’re investing in a workforce that’s resilient, capable, and ready to contribute to a growing trades industry. These students are shaping the future of trades in Canada, and we’re proud to stand behind them.”

In recognition of DEWALT’s transformative investment, ºìÐÓÊÓƵ has named its Moncton Campus carpentry shop and adjacent classrooms the DEWALT Training Centre. A second DEWALT Training Centre will be established at ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Saint John when the College’s new trades facility opens in 2027.
